Begick Nursery Compliment - Excellent Service And Quality Of Product

Review by D on 2009-05-09
BAY CITY, MICHIGAN -- The folks at Begick's garden center provide the best service and advice of any company in the Bay City Michigan- Saginaw Michigan area. Their prices are very competitive and the quality of their plants is far superior to the major chain retailers in the area.

They will bend over backward to provide help and advice. I'd go nowhere else to get my garden supplies...

They are located at 5993 West Side Saginaw Road, Bay City, Michigan.

That sounds awesome, OF. I'm not originally from this area (SE VA), but I'd love some great local gardening advice.

Nice review, OF. What is your plant of choice? Veggies or flowers....

Flowers are our plant of choice...

Mine too! And herbs, and some pepper plants. I even have a hanging basket of cherry tomatoes this year. And yesterday I planted 3 banana plants..not for the bananas but because the plants grow HUGE in one season and they're gorgeous.

A happy review that reminds me Spring is here. Time to give a try with the peppers, squash, tomatoes, and flowers. Thankfully my wife will correct any of my mistakes so we'll once again actually get some produce!

Nice compliment OF. I also deal with a local nursery. Their bedding plants are far superior to those available elsewhere as well. Here the employees are helpful and quite knowledgeable on the product. If perchance they don't know the answer, they'll find someone who does. Does your nursery provide plastic to line your car trunk with? Mine does and they even assist taking it to the car. Deal with locally owned businesses folks, it's worth it.

NH.... the nursery will do those things for you as opposed to the chains like Walmart or Menards, etc...
Going to a grocery store or a lumberyard for plants is like going to a restaurant for 2X4's or electrical supplies.. doesn't make much sense, does it?

No it doesn't OF and I really don't think people realize how competitive the prices are. Sure, sometimes someone will find a super duper price at a chain store but that happens with anything. Service and quality mean something to me.

Actually the prices at the nursery were BETTER than the prices at the discount stores..another reason to go where the experts are...
