Travelocity Complaint - Horrible Customer Service
I had made a reservation with Travelocity for a flight/hotel package and subsequently the price on the exact same package declined by over $100. I had called their customer service to see if I can get credited for the difference, or at least a voucher or some sort, and of course got transferred to a useless Indian call center. The Indian, with his heavy accent, called himself "Rob", and attempted to help me. He took the necessary information about my trip and proceeded to read the terms and conditions on the website. He offered absolutely ZERO assistance! Everything he said I could've easily just gone online and read. I asked if there's anything they could do, since other travel companies will refund the difference, but he just kept reading the terms and conditions.
I am sick and tired of getting transferred to these damn call centers in India. They offer no help whatsoever and are all but useless! Same goes with United's customer service, and all others who send the work offshore to India. I don't know how much these companies could possibly save by doing this, but I won't book with Travelocity again for this reason (unless they start putting intelligible people on the phone that can actually accomplish something useful).
If I can't call a company and get someone who doesn't read off a script, then they're not getting my business.
