Lowe's Complaint - Any Appliance Purchase From Lowes Should Be Considered "Disposable"
CRANBERRY,, PENNSYLVANIA -- In 2005 we upgraded to a Whirlpool frontloading washer/dryer. Three weeks ago the washing machine's door lock mechanism broke. Three weeks later after 3 service visits and 3 calls into the Lowes customer care line, it still is not fixed. Considering we purchased every appliance for both our primary residence and summer home from Lowes (not to mention the $14,000 roof replacement last year), I would have expected better service. I am at the point that if they cannot finally fix the darn thing this week then I will break down and buy a new one (NOT FROM LOWE's) and will pay to have the broken one delivered to their store in Cranberry PA.
SO BUYER BEWARE - extended warranties do not mean a thing from Lowes nor does service. They are in fact a "big box" store, interested in moving, not servicing, product.
