Imed.com Complaint - Deceptive Practices
I ordered 8 air filtering masks for my overseas trip on 4/29/09. I inquired by phone and email when would I receive my order. I was told that the items had been backordered, but the order could not be cancelled. I explained that I needed these items for my trip and would not need them after I left. I was told that my money would not be refunded. However, I looked on their web page and found that once it was shipped, I could return it after getting PERMISSION from the company and it would be picked up. I would get my money back then, but would have to pay shipping AGAIN. Since I ordered online, they could have emailed me back and said that the order had been backordered and did I want to cancel that day. I would have then had the opportunity to try to find the masks somewhere else.
