Best Buy Complaint - Wanna Be Geeks
MAPLE GROVE, MINNESOTA -- My husband & I bought a Dell computer from Best Buy 3 months ago and paid Geek Squad to install all software. Our needs are very basic which includes surfing the net & using Skype. It only lasted us for 45 days after which we started experiencing blue screens and inability to boot. We took it to Best Buy to diagnose & fix the issue which was OUR biggest MISTAKE. $35 and 3 days later they told us to pick up our computer and the issue was apparently due to a virus which they supposedly removed. Within 24 hours the problem reoccurred. Obviously whatever they claim to have found and fixed was bogus. So, off we went to Best Buy again and within 2 days they called us back and said they needed to reinstall everything. Round 2 of bogus explanation and fixing. Within 24 hours of getting our computer back we now can't surf the web & we don't have our computer the way it was originally installed.
By now I've just had it with Geek Squad for their incompetence and their refusal to oblige to their customer to fix the issue.
After much NOISE and yelling, they have agreed to get me a new computer which I'm yet to see how it functions. I will keep you posted.....
To all you people who are contemplating on taking your computer to Best Buy Geek Squad please read this website. They are the MOST unreliable, unprofessional team of people who DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!
Think very carefully on your next purchase or repair at Best Buy.....
