Bernies Complaint - Refund Policy - Frigidaire Convection Oven

WATERBURY, CONNECTICUT -- I went to Bernies and ordered a new stove as ours is broken. When I was purchasing it my wife had a few reservations. The salesman told us that if at anytime prior to delivery we changed our mind we would get a full refund. After the order was placed we were given two choices for delivery. Mothers day or the following Tuesday. The night before it was to be delivered we were given a 4 hour window of 3pm - 7pm for delivery. We rescheduled to keep this block open. The day it was due to be delivered we received a call saying they had broken the stove loading on the truck and would have to reschedule for some time on the weekend. I chose to cancel the order at which time I was told I would have to wait 7 - 21 days for a refund, even though the salesman didn't mention this. I was told that this is their corporate policy and there is nothing I can do about it.

I will never purchase anything from Bernies again and would advise people that if they do they better charge the item as that is the only way you will get a refund in a timely manner. I now have to find a stove somewhere else and come up with the money to purchase it.

accidents do happen,and they called to let you know of the issue.IMO if the sales rep brought up the fact that you could refund prior to delivery,he should have told you the policy..
