Sirius Radio Complaint - Sirius Radio Subscription
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- I purchased a new 35' Formula boat that came with a free trial period of Sirius Radio. After the trial period had expired Sirius Radio sent me numerous offers for continued service. Because I used the boat and radio primarily in the spring and summer I waited until spring of 2008 to sign up with Sirius Radio. I phoned Sirius and signed up for one year of service and used my AmEx card to pay for it. Sirius Radio gave no indication that they would automatically renew my service without authorization and charge my credit card. Upon reviewing my April 2009 AmEx bill I noticed a charge from Sirius Radio and called AmEx about the charge. AmEx marked it as unauthorized charges and said I should call Sirius to cancel service (I think they have seen this problem before). I called Sirius and after getting the run around I was told that they would pro rate the refund, I've yet to see if they will charge a cancellation fee as I have been told would happen. The operator at Sirius was disrespectful, rude, arrogant, and in my opinion a real A--.
After reading several complaints about Sirius Radio I see I am not the only one this has happened to and they will not get my business again until the company policy has changed and my charges are reversed in full.
