Friday's Informative - Watch out for the food!

Review by cosmofairy4 on 2009-05-13
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK -- I went to the Friday's located on 34th street in Manhattan last week Sunday. The moment I walked in the my shoes got stuck to some gum, and the carpet on the stairs were so dirty it was black and fowl-smelling.

I was invited to go, so went on up the stairs and waited to be served. The wait time wasn't that bad, and the table was decent-looking enough. The knives, forks, spoons, and napkins all of which were dirty. My friends wanted to walk out until the waiter came up. She was nice and served our drinks, tasted like tap water, and the there were, of course dirty spots on the glasses. We ordered overpriced food, and none of the deals, or specials were on the menu. When asked, the waiter didn't know. So after eating four squares that are called quesadeas?@! The waiter was tipped, and the quality of the food was poor. Not all Friday's are as lazy, and do serve real food. Just a thought, if your ever on 34th street, in Manhattan, don't eat at this Friday's.

I buy their Quesadillas, at the grocery store in the frozen food section for 3 bucks. Same thing I bet, but they charge you 10 over there. Never was a fan of Fridays.

The gum I could see..could have just happened. The dirt and foul smell...no way, I would have left, invited guest or not.

Geez Alex, in a forum like this, you could have waited no more than a few minutes more to find far worse examples than this complaint.

Eh, IMO you're only qualified to make smart remarks about someone learning English as a second language if you can say it to them in THEIR native tongue.. :D

There has to be 100 good local restaurants within a couple of blocks... why would you ever want to go to a chain restaurant?
New York is the center of the known food universe...
