Comcast Corporation Complaint - Customer service sucks
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- I have been a Comcast subscriber to their cable and data products for over a year now and have had a few problems. First, on a day that I talked my boss into letting me work from home, the cable went out and I was unable to work. (boss was not happy) A couple months later my cable was cut off. A couple minutes after the cable went out, a guy came to my door and asked me if I wanted cable for only $10.00. When I explained to him that I was already paying for cable he took the time to call the office and verify that I was in fact a customer. I guess he couldn't check that information before he unhooked my line. That stuff is pretty minor compared to my next encounter with incompetent service people. For the last two years I have been trying to talk my girlfriend into getting cable because I was tired of watching the same six fuzzy channels when I was at her place. Finally she decided to order service because they were running a "special". On the first day of service the reception was terrible. I called customer service for her and asked the customer service person to reschedule a 'truck roll' the following day between the hours of 5 and 8 PM. He agreed and said that someone would be out there to fix it. The next day my girlfriend left work early so she could be there to greet the tech only to find a note saying that he had already been there (at 2pm) and she would need to reschedule. After that, my girlfriend was irate. As of this writing they still haven't called back to say whether or not a tech would be out in the evening. For their sake and mine, I hope they send someone out because I told my girlfriend that I would cancel my subscription in protest. I guess when Comcast runs a "special" it means that they're going to screw you right off the bat instead of waiting a month or so.
