Ford Motor Complaint - Is Ford Price Gouging? It appears So!!!!!!!!!!
WAVERLY, WEST VIRGINIA -- About eight months ago before Ford Motor became very unstable I purchased a part for my 1997 SHO F6DZ-3B455-a for $24 and change list price was $31.43. In the beginning of May 2009 I purchased the same part for my other 1997 SHO; however, the part number was changed to YF1Z-3B455-AA and list price was changed to $83.32 a difference of $51.89. I contact Ford Motor and was told by the customer-less service representative Ford Motor does not have any control over "dealer list price". I guess every dealer assigns its own "dealer list price". Does Ford Motor really expect me to believe that, shame on them. My question to Ford Motor was did the cost of producing the part increase that much, was it a pricing mistake, or is someone gouging the public to support the market hardship. Ford chosed not to answer my question so I was hoping someone could explain this unbelievable increase. My locate dealer has informed me that Ford Motor has more than double the dealer cost on the part. I own 14 Fords and Ford Motor has finally convinced me not to purchase a New 2010 SHO and sell all 10 of my 1996 - 1998 SHO and purchase Toyota, a company that stands behind it products and parts.
