AAA Roadside Assistance Compliment - Impressive Service
ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- I must admit that I was pleasantly taken aback earlier today when I utilized AAA's service for the first time.
After pumping gas at my local 7-Eleven, the car battery seemed to have died. I tried turning it on, got that "wah wah wah" sound followed by clicking. I called the AAA number on the back of my card and connected to an operator within seconds. I gave the basic information (membership number/address of my location/what was wrong/etc.) and was told a truck would be there within 45 minutes.
Two minutes later, a different operator calls back to say the ETA is actually only 15 minutes. Much to my surprise, before even hanging up the phone with her, a truck pulled into the lot. I couldn't have asked for better response time if I had called 911 and asked for an ambulance.
The guy was very pleasant and did his diagnostics on my car battery...he gave me a print out that stated my battery seemed okay but seems to have just lost a bit of charge. He recommended I take the battery to the car dealership to see if it still had a warranty. He gave the battery a charge using one of his tools, and the car turned on. With that, he wished me a good day. I drove to the car dealership to have the battery replaced just as a precaution.
The whole thing could have turned out much worse. It reminded me of one of those Brinks home security commercials with the attempted burglary, and the company being right there to protect you. I felt very safe and secure with AAA's efficient, friendly and expeditious service.
I'll definitely be renewing my membership at the end of the year!
