Shiro Japanese Restaurant Complaint - I Know We Are Not Going Back There!!!!
SWIFTWATER, PENNSYLVANIA -- What a shame that such a beautiful looking restaurant has such bad service. It has been open for one year, and all you see are young teenage girls in high heels who sit you down without explaining how the restaurant is divided (there is a hibachi side and a sushi side). Our young waitress not only did not expain this to us either, but when we were ready to order, looking forward to the food, she than tells us that we are not allowed to order from that part of the menu because we are not sitting in the hibachi side of the restaurant. What a disappointment! Her reply was,"sorry, but you can wait on line if you want hibachi." Who wants that when the line is out the door? Besides that, once we received our food, she never returned to check on us. Finally, when finished eating, we waved our hands for her attention and noticed on the bill that an 18% gratuity was already calculated into the bill. What?
My husband nicely spoke our frustrations to the manager who was rude, defensive, would speak over my husband and interrupt him, and just simply walked away. Now how professional is that? All we know is that we are not going back there!!!
