Southwest Airlines Complaint - Southwest Vacations Charged Me Twice
KENTUCKY -- My family of 4 recently booked a vacation with Southwest Airlines online. We included Park Hopper Tickets, Insurance, Dining Plan, etc. When the reservation process was completed, it didn't show that I had selected dining (even though I clicked on the Dining Plan button and it increased the total of my plan). I called to verify the Dining Plan was included and they assured me it was. When my vacation documents came in the mail, it still showed the dining plan was not included so I called again and again was assured the plan was included.
My family then gets to Disney World only to find out our plan does not include the plan so we call Southwest and they tell us if we want a dining plan we have to pay for another one because they are not showing we ever paid for one!!!
Once we got home, I did some research on what our vacation package should have cost us with Dining Plan included and what they actually charged us. It was a $1000 difference.
I've contacted Southwest and they said we never selected the Dining Plan in the first place, that we never contacted them with concerns that we did not see it on our plan (even though I called twice) and that fluctuations in prices caused a $1000 difference.
One representative I talked to even said she agreed that the pricing was wrong, but Southwest refused to help me. They even said I was being a bother (in a more professional way of course).
