Homeland Housewares Complaint - Presto, It's ..... ?????

Review by mamajoe on 2009-05-22
10 seconds or less? As my other half puts it "maybe I just forgot how to tell time". My question is, where is the "Presto" in the recipe called "Presto, It's Pesto"? Now the infomercial demo of this recipe shows a quick whoosh of the ingredients on the MB, and then it's poured over the prepared pasta; looks mouthwatering doesn't it? Well, my mouth was watering alright, from extreme hunger; after following directions carefully, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, for the ingredients to blend. Tried the tap and shake methods they explain in the owners manual. Waiting, waiting, getting hungrier, pulsing, taping, shaking, pulsing, waiting ...... Nowhere in the infomercial do they even demonstrate any tap/shake procedures; just put the ingredients in the cup, twist on the cross blade, and pulse, and they're done! Unfortunately, I wasn't. And getting hungrier (and waiting; did I fail to mention that?). Anyway, I agree with the comments of other MB owners, it's great for drinks and more liquidy-type recipes; but for anything thicker, or for chopping, I'd advise just using good old, plain old, conventional methods.

Gosh I hope you have eaten something by now. Next time use a good old fashioned blender.
