Winn-Dixie Stores Complaint - False Advertisement - 20% Lean Ground Chuck
MARRERO, LOUISIANA -- The Winn Dixie #1440 in Marrero is located within a block of a retirement complex. Most of the seniors shop here because it is within walking distance and they don't have cars.
The store sells inferior and very fatty meat and puts a label on it stating that it is 80% lean. The meat is light pink and when cooked it requires a person to drain the oil several times.
This happens frequently and the public is paying preamium price for a fatty and low quality product. Beware of ground beef that is light pink and marked LEAN. Meat is red and quality ground beef should also be red. Winn Dixie spends millions on advertisement and makes a few bucks by tricking the public. Shame on you- Winn Dixie. If you are a person that has had this problem let Winn Dixie know that this type of bussiness practice is unacceptable and that you have other, honest, supermarkets that will give you the product you paid for. Penny rich and dollar poor will be the result of this practice. Winn Dixie made a few dollars from me but I have had enought and will not tolorate or shop there.
If you are ripped off by false labels about the meat products at Winn Dixie, take control and shop elswhere.
