Gap Complaint - Bad Return Policy - Boys Shorts
After my recent experience with the Gap I will never shop there again. I have also cut up my Gapcard. On April 23, 2009 I purchased approximately $180 worth of clothing for my 5 year old son. Brought it home tried on the items & one style of shorts was too big. A week later I exchanged them for a smaller size. After that I didn't put them on him again until May 24th to only find out that they were too big as well. I decided to return them but when I looked at the receipt I saw that the return policy was 30 days (even with your receipt). So I called my local Gap & spoke to the manager who was very nice & said that she could maybe make an exception for me since it was 31 days & to come in. So we went, however, she said she could only exchange for the same item in another size/color. Well the problem with that was that I already had the merchandise in the smallest size offered at Gap Kids. She said it had to be "even."
Needless to say I walked out of there with my original purchase that my son will not wear. My Gap shopping days are over.
