Craftsman Complaint - Craftsman Blowers Suck

Review by money talks on 2009-05-26
STROUDSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA -- Craftsman leaf blower/sucker is a lousy design. Been buying Sears products for 20 yrs this is my 3rd blower. It constantly gets clogged when you are sucking up leaves. Awkward to hold and the trigger, it is in an uncomfortable position.

Whoever designed this needs there head examined. I finally got so frustrated with it I smashed it to pieces in my driveway. I'll spend my money elsewhere!

This was a very helpful review, I'm kind of in the market for a few new yard tools. Craftsman, from what I can tell, has been going downhill for a while.

I heard from a Sears employee that Craftsman products have been on the decline for some time now...I prefer to use my rake,it works every time I need it to...

"I finally got so frustrated with it I smashed it to pieces in my driveway."

You should have sold it on eBay. Then used the money for anger management.

Craftsman used to be lifetime guaranteed at Sears...I know the small tools were, not sure about things like leafblowers. Not anymore.

The Craftsman lifetime warranty still exists but only covers hand tools. Power tools are covered by a 2-3 warranty.

You're right, PB. I just looked it up..I'm batting 1000 here today.

They removed the lifetime warranty on their flashlights and the Craftsman tape measurer (which is the one tool we kept taking back when it broke), but the rest of the hand tools are still warranteed.

though some items were never covered, like the screwdriver bits in the interchangeable kits. Then again, those bits aren't very expensive
