Garden City Chrysler, Hempstead, NY Complaint - Devious And Misleading

Review by lsadig on 2009-05-26
GARDEN CITY, NEW YORK -- I'll keep it short. They sold me a certified car and 2 weeks later it needed a computer. It was determined that the computer was broken when they sold me the car. This car was "certified". I can't get to work without my "certified" car which has been in their shop for 6 days to get a computer. They gave me a loaner which I now have to pay for because they won't pay for any loaner over 5 days (they gave me the loaner).

They made me drop off the loaner and I walked 2 miles back to my house through the ghetto neighborhood that they do business in. I'm still waiting for the car to be fixed. They haven't called back yet (day #7). WOW!!!

Is it any wonder they are in trouble?

Not to put you down, lsadig, but you were very foolish buying a used car from Chrysler knowing what financial trouble they were in.

Nonetheless, they screwed you, and you should consider contacting the Nassau County Department of Consumer Affairs.

In light of Chrysler's bankruptcy and impending liquidation, the next time that you go into that dealership, you should tell the sales manager: "I hope that you will be enjoying your new career at McDonald's!"

The OP purchased a used car. The term certified isn't used for a new car.

If they offer a loaner for 5 days at no charge to you, but the repair is going to take longer then 5 days, it makes no sense why you would then be charged for the loaner??? That is lame! Thanks for posting, good review.

Since Obama has given Chrysler billions in taxpayer funded bailouts, see if the United States Government can fix your car!
