Nationwide Corporation Informative - Pay Top Dollar For Insurance And Get Junk Repair Parts
PENNSYLVANIA -- Nationwide Is On your Side. Yeah right until you file a claim. My wife was stopped at a red light and was rear ended by an SUV. Young girl texting on her cell phone. My wife was driving a Toyota Highlander that took the hit causing $8000 in damage but no injury to her. The car was only 4 months old. Grrrr. Fast forward. The car is now at the body shop waiting for the Nationwide claims adjuster to approve the repair estimate. Big problem. He would only authorize after market parts (cheap) for the repair. The body shop manager argued that he could not do a proper repair job because the after market parts would not fit properly and were a low grade quality. A $40,000 vehicle 4 months old that Nationwide doesn't want to pay for to do a quality repair. I was livid and contacted numerous supervisors with my complaint. This took hours going through incompetent people that offered nothing but excuses.
Persistence pays off. They finally approved the factory parts to complete the repair. I am done with Nationwide. I changed to Amica Insurance saving $450 a year with better coverage. Nationwide only wants your money then offers excuses not to pay for a proper repair. Buyer beware!
