Ace Hardware Corporation Complaint - Overcharged... Check Your Receipts! - Memorial Day Sale Items

Memorial Day Sale Items - Complaint
Review by rah332 on 2009-05-27
HAYWARD, CALIFORNIA -- This past weekend, Ace Hardware was having their sale. There were lots of good buys and nice rebate items. I went to the store on B st in Hayward, Ca. I get home and fill in the rebate sheet and noticed I was not charged the sale price on All of the items. They were the original $. I was overcharged $25. I called the store and the original clerk said she doesn't know anything about the prices. I ask for the mgr and explain how I was charged the original prices and not given the sale prices listed in their ads. She explains the clerk just started her shift and had to input the sale prices manually on each item. yea right. Mgr goes and says it was early in the day. Mind you, I went there on Sunday afternoon. The sale had been going on for 3 day already. After many excuses, I was given a $25 refund. I told the mgr I had a concern for ALL the other customers who were b4 and after me that were also charged incorrectly. She stated I was the ONLY ONE. No, I think I was the only one that caught them overcharging.

Aren't all the sale prices inputed into the computer system? Nothing should be entered manually. A bunch of bull. I am not going to that store again. If you do, make sure you check the receipt b4 you leave the store..
