Orbitz Complaint - Lousy customer service when flights were cancelled to Mexico
We booked tickets to Oaxaca, Mexico in February for a 10 day stay in June - Dallas to Mex City to Oaxaca.
Just 2 weeks before our trip, we were informed that our flights had been cancelled. We were also informed that Orbitz would provide no assistance with rebooking, nor would it help negotiate seat prices. Thus we were left shelling out $600 for our tickets that previously cost $450, and we will not see a refund for TWO MONTHS. All the help we got from ORBITZ was being put on hold, being told they couldn't help us, and being told that even with travel insurance we weren't going to see our money for a long time.
After 6 hours on the phone we had NOTHING to show for it.
We will NEVER use this company again, EVER.
Don't be fooled. They will take your money but they won't be there for you even when flights are cancelled due to swine flu.
