Wal-Mart Complaint - Pharmacy drugs are imported from the Third World
WESTMINSTER, COLORADO -- Astonished! Wal-Mart has been filling my generic prescriptions with products manufactured in Mumbai, India. Not only do I question the purity and safety of a medication made in a Third World country, but how Wal-Mart and Lupin Limited can prove that a USFDA team of inspectors is truly sampling and testing – in a "clean room" laboratory – the quality of their products. You may as well be importing pharmaceuticals from a Chinese melamine plant. We will find out when it makes the news when Americans begin falling ill (or worse) because of Wal-Mart’s bottom-line.
Wal-Mart would rather spend millions on shipping (and the fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions that goes with container shipping) than to support a pharmaceutical plant that employs U.S. citizens. I will be getting my prescriptions filled elsewhere from now on – and I will be verifying where my meds are being pressed into little pills...not in a filthy Third World country anymore.
