Home Depot Complaint - Customer relations with the disabled
WOODINVILLE, WASHINGTON -- I have a physical & mental disability.
When my parents both passed they left me there 1954 home to live.
I have spent all that I could afFord on repairs to make it energy efficient. Snohomish County Weatherization has been of great help. But I have had no help on replacing the two large front windows that have air leaks. I have asked Lowe's and Home Depot if they would be able to help. Lowe's offered a 10% discount and referred me to some people to help with installation. Home Depot had me tell my story to 4 different departments where I was finally meet with someone who asked me to "get to the point" several times. After hearing my need to replace the windows described his homes as needing double pain also and offered no help. As I thought this was maybe only the one sales persons "bad day" I eMailed the company. They said they would look into it but needed a phone number to contact me. I described that I avoid the phone and would prefer eMail correspondence. I never heard from them again.
I no longer shop at Home Depot instead drive further to Lowe's where I am treated with respect.
