Sears Complaint - Sears missing delivery date of our appliance 3 times, and the customer service does not care
CALIFORNIA -- I did not expect this happens to us at all - thought all these horror stories about Sears were isolated instances.
We ordered a cook top from Sears on May 5th, the promised delivery date is May 21st... sounds reasonable. Two weeks after, I received a call from Sears said that, due to Manufacturer's delay, the cook top delivery date has to be pushed out to May 27th. One week - not very pleasant since it gets closer to our new granite counter top template date - but not unreasonable.
On the eve of 26th, we called the delivery 800 number and confirmed the delivery time/date to be 27th 2-4PM. Good - seems alright.
7AM of May 27th, I woke up by someone calling from Sears delivery telling us that he would like to pull in the delivery time to 8-10AM... great. Since I am awake (not intended to be up this early,) why not?
I called in for late to work, and stayed home waiting, waiting,... to 1/2 hr pass 10AM. No one showed up... I need to do something - called the delivery 800 number and asked where the truck is... The lady told us, well, "DUE TO MANUFACTURER'S DELAY, your cook top delivery has been rescheduled to JUNE 21st". That is a month later... how come they do not know this all along?? I told her this is not an acceptable answer... I have confirmed, and someone called this morning from the truck! I asked her to check into that... apparently she does not want to hear my arguments - she basically HUNG UP the phone without listening!!!
Now I am really unhappy... but was too busy to call Sears to complain that day since we have to deal with a lot of schedule changes due to this...
The next day, I received a call from Sears delivery, and the funny part is, this time the lady told me that "DUE TO MANUFACTURER'S DELAY", our delivery has been re-scheduled to JUNE 17th. (They probably found that JUNE 21st is actually a Sunday.) Now I am really fed up.... called Sears customer service and canceled the order.
WE WILL NEVER BUY ANY APPLIANCE FROM SEARS. They have no clue of what they are doing, and no one over there has a clue about customer satisfaction, and responsibility/ownership.
