Checks Unlimited Complaint - Bad Service By Checks Unlimited

I had ordered checked from Checks Unlimited for the introductory rate that was advertised in the newspaper. I received my checks quickly and I thought there were no problems. A few weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for an additional $13.70. I placed a phone call and I was rudely told that I had ordered from them 3 years ago, so I was not eligible for the introductory rate so they without telling me, go ahead and print the checks and then bill me. I did not pay right away and then received a threatening bill in the mail that if I did not pay, I would be transferred to collections.

I do not feel this company handled this well and I want to pass this on to everyone to BEWARE when ordering from ChecksUnlimited.

They did this to me about three years ago. Only I had ordered four books of checks. I received a bill for about $55.00 than the check that I sent. I called them up in my nicest voice and she agreed to split the bill with me for half the amount. I sent them the check and have never ordered checks from them again. I now order the Banks brand checks, at least I know what I am paying.

Another important consideration is the quality of these checks. When your check goes through the Fed systems, if the quality of the magnetic encoding is not up to par, the Fed assesses a fee to your bank for processing the sub-standard check. If this happens more than once or twice, your bank will begin to pass these charges on to you, and the can add up fast.
