Auto Superstore Greyslake Informative - Poor Communication Skills

GREYSLAKE, ILLINOIS -- Wow, do these guys need to take a course in customer service. I was willing to spend $150 to rent a car and drive 8 hrs round trip to buy a car off their lot.

First I spoke to [snip]. He was not friendly. Not at all. When I called back, I got a hold of [snip], who is clearly the person training ****** because his people skills were even worse, and are more consistent with that of a collections agent than a salesperson. Our phone call ended with him hanging up on me. I never raised my voice, I even apologized for giving him what I thought would be constructive criticism about how poorly they were handling the situation.

The bottom line: They had the car I wanted, I was motivated, I had cash and was willing to pay full sticker price and spend another $150 to get there and they almost seemed to be going out of their way to be rude and dismissive. Nice job guys. When a customer can't see the car before they buy it, they just need a little bit of reassurance that the car is nice and the dealership is honest. That's it. Neither of you would have had to do more than just be decent to me. Instead you both seemed to go out of your way to be jerks. Way to go!
