I.M.O. Complaint - Where is the I.M.O.?

Review by maple on 2009-06-03
Like many others, I too am looking for the IMO. Safeway's stopped carrying it. When in AZ, I was able to buy it at Albertsons. I found an Albertsons in Kent, WA a couple of weeks ago. Like one other writer said... not one listens. I fully understand that it probably isn't a big seller, but those of us who are lactose intolerant or just plain like it better than the dairy sour cream, it should be readily available to us. I am going to try to locate the manufacturer.

Maple, I found that Dean's Foods is the manufacturer of IMO, and called the company directly. They say they don't understand the problem, as they produce thousands of containers of the IMO every week. They cannot answer the question, as they sell it to a jobber, who sells it to a wholsaler, who then sells it to a retailer, with each step adding a few cents, until it reaches you. I went round and round with Safeway in Coolidge, AZ, because they acted as if I had violated some sacred text by asking them about IMO. Here in Lacey, WA, we were able to get IMO at Safeway about the first month we were here, then it disappeared here, also. They were very kind, but none of their replies made any sense, and of course, no difference. Albertson's caried it for a while afterwards, but now it seems to have gone bye-bye there, too.
