Conn's Appliances Complaint - Deceived - Samsung DLP TV
I bought a Samsung 61 in DLP TV and have had it for one year and am very, very angry. The first three months that I had it the picture started to warp like an hour glass. I called for a service tech and it took him two weeks to get here, and when he arrived this is what he said. " Oh don't worry about it it's a DLP. There's a mirror behind it that reflects the picture and you have it on uneven ground. Level it out and it will be fine". Ok. Angy but not wanting to contest I sent him on his way and leveled it out. DID NOT HELP. Then two months later, the bulb went out ! That, took them one month to send a tech out. Yep. A month and no Tv. Finally the bulb was replaced. Well, around 4 months later still unsatisfied with the picture I called again. The service tech came when I was at work, luckily my father was at the house. I set the appointment for 2 and he showed up at 11. What the hell. Looks to me like he didn't want to face me again huh? This time my father got me on the phone and this is what I said to the salesman. " I am not novice to electronics. I have been reading reviews online on this model and every person that bought this TV has the same problem.
No unlevel ground gesture is going to satisfy me this time". Huh. He came clean and this is what he said" same guy by the way". " Every body that bought this model has had the same problem. We can't do anything about it. All we can replace is the bulb and minor repairs. We can't do anything about the picture. You have to call Samsung and see if you can work out a deal".I am paying for the extended warranty. Why the hell do I have to make the moves. That's their job. So now their telling me its my problem? Well guess what. My one year anniversary past last month and when I woke up this morning to watch the news, the bulb went out again ! Iv been trying to contact the service center all day and no answer. I am beyond angry and am ready to hire a lawyer if they don't give me a new TV. I have had problems with this thing since I bought it.
So, if they knew it was a faulty model why was I not informed. According to the Texas lemon law. If some one sells you some thing and has knowledge that its faulty they have to inform you and if it breaks they have no choice but to take it back. That's the law.
