TNT Courier Services Complaint - Very Poor Services/Bad customer Service Relations

Review by TechnoThreads on 2009-06-05
Something is wrong with this company, we had a manufacturer from Asia sent us some items via TNT, they promised to have our shipment delivered in 3 - 7 business days, it's about 7 weeks now and we have not received our package. They claimed on inquiry that our package is held for customs inspection. How can this be? How can a package be held for government inspection in Ecuador coming from Asia for almost two months? This is unreal, What is it doing there? They cannot give a reason for this nonsense. I would advise that businesses and individuals stop using this courier.

As a result, we are losing clients and losing money, we owned a large wholesale/Retail electronics Company in Miami Florida and having this shipment held up for so long in Ecuador for no reason is BAD for business. We currently use UPS, Fedex and DHL which is working good for us but we still would like our client products reach it's destination ASAP!

We spoke with Anahi of TNT in Ecuador who said that they are not responsible for any shipment held by customs over any period, but my question is what are they doing to help in this situation?.., I am now considering travelling to Ecuador and take this matter further.
