LACEY, WASHINGTON -- When Crystal went to conduct some business at the new KFC/LJS at Galaxie and Martin Way, in Lacey, WA, She got us dinner there. She said they were busy, it being at the start of the dinner rush, but that the service was friendly and knowledgeable. She brought me a shrimp and fish combo that was delicious. Two large pieces of fish, done to a golden brown crunchiness and wonderful taste, and a number of large butterfly shrimp, a good-sized portion of french fries and two delicious hushpuppies.

Not a bad dinner at all for what they charge. Having one of these YUM outlets so close is terrific.

I do enjoy Long John Silvers...but I've noticed latey (at least at the location around here) there seems to be way too much batter on the fish and because the batter is thick it isn't cooked all the way through. I do like their chicken though.

I used to love them but I haven't had them in years, unfortunately. Any kind of fish that even remotely resembles English fish and chips just sends me..

besides things being over coated with breading, and boiled in oil, they have decent coleslaw.

We just ate there yeserday and it was excellent..I'm a sucker for their breaded fish. The lobster bites are so-so but what do you expect for a coupla bucks...

WOW, I haven't been able to eat there in years. Everything tastes exactly the same, and goes right thru me, unfortuantely. Glad, and rather surprised, you had a good experience.

Nice review Starlord. We have a Captain D's in this area as well as Long Johns. On occasion an employee would offer to pick up lunch but since Long Johns doesn't have drive through the employee would elect to go to Captain D's which does. Same tasting batter fried fish along with the trimmings. I enjoy either restaurant for what they have on their menu.

Used to enjoy LJS before the doc told me to knock off the deep fried stuff. Now it's just a boring fish filet without all the artery clogging plaque that I used to enjoy so much. (VH)

Super...they sell baked fish now...you should try that. Of course, I don't know if they bake it in butter or not.
