Valvoline Instant Oil Change Informative - I Was Caused Additional Problems - Oil Change
I had gone into Valvoline for a oil change on 02/27/2009.
The people were very nice, but I had explained that I was leaving on a long road trip with my children, I asked them to do a quick look over of the car. I was concerned about break downs. They told me the would. They did, and advised me of all things I should be aware of.
I left. While traveling my car would just shut off, the steering would lock. I would have to coast off the road and restart the car.
I eventually had to have another Mechanic look at it. He immediately saw that a air filter hose was not reconnected. Once that was done, the car never stalled out again. I understand things happen. A simple over sight. But what if this would have caused a accident? I told them my worries. I would have hoped they would have had more concern.

Suggestion* next time take your vehicle to a mechanic before a long road trip- not an instant oil change place!
