Best Buy Complaint - Best Buy @ 7520 Dodge St: "Free" Car Audio Or Security System Installation!
OMAHA, NEBRASKA -- My daughter had a new Sony audio system purchased and INSTALLED at the Best Buy @ 7520 Dodge st. store next to the Crossroads Mall (north side of Dodge @ 75th). Fine. Worked great. Ten days later, it's gone. She ALWAYS locks her doors, and double checks. No break in...taken out cleanly. Unfortunately, she gave them her real address. Was a key made? Did someone just wait until she parked outside? Hmmmm...through talking to lots and lots of people, this "strange incident" is happening many times when a system is purchased at and installed by Best Buy @ 7520 Dodge st.
Also, when a non-techno savvy person has Best Buy @ 7520 Dodge put in a security system, they will get help putting in the security code. Big mistake. Do they write the code down and later enter your car without a sound whenever they want? Hmmmm Also, I will never leave my registration in the car or anything that has my correct address. I'm not saying there's a connection, it's just interesting how often this has happened. Best Buy says they are aware of nothing like this happening. The police are aware of these "strange incidents" but can't put the money & time in to setting up a sting.
PROTECT YOURSELF!! .... SOLUTION: BUY YOUR CAR AUDIO OR SECURITY SYSTEM FROM A LOCAL COMPANY. There are plenty of LOCAL car audio/security places who do sell and install this equipment. Their prices are competitive, and they are so much more helpful...at least check them out. They are honest and their livelihood depends on your satisfaction. BUY YOUR CAR AUDIO OR SECURITY SYSTEM FROM A LOCAL COMPANY. Huge national companies know some people will buy the cheapest and they just don't care. Especially if the installation is "FREE". You have just read about my daughter's "FREE" installation. As for me...Best Buy @ 7520 Dodge NO LONGER EXISTS.
