AAA Complaint - Life In Danger-Customer Service Picks Argument
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- April 30, 2009, Heading down to FL on hwy 185, my car (SUV) decides to break down. We (me, my fiance' & 3 sweet little dogs) have to pull over on the shoulder, the car was going no further. I am a long-time AAA member (I've always gotten good service in the past) call roadside service on my cell. The customer representative claimed that I had one type of membership which allowed a 5-mile tow, when I was sure that that past year that I had upgraded to a 100-mile tow. I told her that I was in a very dangerous place, and if there was any difference, I'd be happy to pay the extra to the tow truck driver. She just would not let this go, she was far more interested in arguing with me, that in saving our lives. She claimed we were not in any danger. I just did a little research online, hundreds of people lose their lives because they are stuck in the emergency lane. Even the complaint department "guy" was too dense to realize that we were definitely in danger. She just kept fighting with me, I had to hand the phone to my fiance' because I thought I was going to be sick. And my poor dogs were nervous at their situation(animals know) Oh! She was so nice to my fiance, she offered him 20 miles on the tow. HMMMMM. But the tow truck driver was nice, I forgot my problems for a while, But I just don't understand what kind of MONSTER would just want to argue, The first thing she asked me is "are you in a safe place" I said NO!!!!!Please-I need help as soon as possible!
It's a shame that there are so many decent people looking for jobs, and there are incompetent, ignorant, evil people like these that have jobs.
