Fitness Gym Complaint - Cancellation of a Gym Membership
This is not resolved. I accidently clicked the button and can't change it back. I had signed up for a 1-year gym membership with a gym in Orange County, CA which I am attempting to cancel with no luck. My contract started 4/19/03 and have been trying to cancel this membership since 3/15/04, due to they require a 30-day notice. I finally spoke with cusotmer service who stated that I wasn't trying hard enough to cancel and then in the same conversation she called me a liar. So now, they are charging me a $59.00 annual renewal fee plus the $49.00 fee for May because according to a customer service rep I didn't try hard enough to cancel my membership. I have recently sent two letters to corporate and I am still not 100% positive that my membership is cancelled. What else can I do....this is the worst company I have come across in my entire life.
