Pep Boys Informative - No One is Minding the Store
After a rather upsetting ordeal with the brakes on my 1995 Saturn, I just want to state that getting any satisfaction from PepBoys Customer Relations department is almost impossible. I was routed at least times to different company officials who were supposed to help me resolve the service problem I had with one of the PepBoys shops. It seems that no one was minding the store because I kept getting voice mail lines instead of real people. I did speak with one PepBoys representative who "passed the buck." I tried to communicate my brakes experience via the complaint form supplied on PepBoys web site...I sent it three times to three different email addresses. Each time, my lengthy description was refused. I received those computer messages which state the email address is unknown, etc. I finally sent a copy of said email explanation to an address which is supposed to be the location of the PepBoys Head Office. I also had a similar experience with the Better Business Bureau...which really perturbed me. I would have thought that they could do better. I almost admire PepBoys and the Better Business Bureau for their ability to create a maze which protects them from consumers.
I have also considered legal help to resolve my issues with PepBoys' incompetent service. But whom would my lawyer contact when no one is minding the store?
