Dell Financial Complaint - Dell Collections

Review by deem on 2009-06-08
Dell Financial calls my 80 year old mother at all hours of the day and night demanding payment; my dad used the credit card in the 80’s he died in 1983.

Collections are part of business and understandable but these people engage in psychological torture.

This company is an abomination.

So they are trying to collect on debt from the 80's? The statue of limitations has probably run out and legally they have no right to collect on it. Don't pay them.

Send them a letter to cease and desist in certified mail. Contact the phone company and see if the number they are calling from can be blocked.

If they continue to call after they receive the cease and desist letter, hire a lawyer and sue Dell Financial Services for harassment.

Mad and SC, something is not adding up here as Michael Dell started the company in 1984. How did Dad use the card before the company was even founded? Plus DELL Hell did not offer credit for a few years.

DELL is nothing nice I agree but the dates are out of whack.

Not only that, they don't collect on their own debts after about six months of delinquency. They use a variety of third party agencies. I call shenanigans!!
