TXU Energy Complaint - Customer Focused Service - Not! - Utility (Power)
Utility (Power) - Complaint

DALLAS, TEXAS -- Power giant TXU apparently doesn’t think much of customer service, satisfaction, or retention. The so called “Customer Service”, and “Power Outage Notification” phone numbers they have listed, are totally and utterly useless. All one ever gets is prerecorded crap with: ”We are too busy right now, try again later…” nonsense.
Just what customer needs to hear trying to find out how long the power outage will be. If by some divine intervention one actually gets a hold of “customer service rep” he/she is working in some god forsaken, far away place where English language is not required. Conversation becomes exercise in futility where neither side understands the other.
If one decides to contact TXU via their WEB site, they better not. It lists the same ambiguous phone numbers, as well as “contact us” option that leads to black hole of no return… I used it, and received immediate canned response saying they
will respond to me in approximately 72 hours?! There’s cheerful thought. I need to wait 3 days to hear there is/was power loss in my area. How idiotic is that?!
How about putting some meaningful stuff on their recording machines, and their WEB site? Few general things about areas affected by the outage, and approximate outage duration. Is that so hard to do??? In all my life I have never seen less approachable, and harder to deal with company. Luckily, there are options, and other providers.
