Lia Toyota Northampton Complaint - Shabby Treatment
NORTHAMPTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I have never been so poorly treated when buying a car or any item for that matter. I walked in to the dealership, check in hand, and the wait was interminable to seal the deal. There were lots of whisperings and "let me check with my manager" type maneuvers while I sat waiting and waiting in the showroom. After trading in my old car AND purchasing the new one, I left and was told I could pick the new one up later that day or the next day. When I went the next day to pick it up, there was no radio installed. They kept the car for a couple of days, then said I could pick up the car. When I arrived for the 2nd pick-up I noticed a big scratch on the front of the car and refused to accept it. They said they would "buff it out". In the meantime, they had my cashed check, my old car AND my new one. There is more to the tale, but I will end by saying that the third time they delivered the car to me over the weekend. When I got in my new car to take a spin, the a/c didn't work.
After many complaints and no direct apologies from them, I finally have the car. Their manner was smug and unfazed. The car had no floor mats and the inside door had smudges on it. All-in-all, they have an "I'm above it" attitude. Shop elsewhere.
