Resort Equity Marketing REM Complaint - Resort Equity Marketing Scam

Review by leena on 2009-06-11
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FLORIDA -- These people play all nice on the phone while they talk with you for an hour and tell you that their main market to sell my timeshare is at corporations when they come to Orlando FL. I was thinking everything was okay until I questions how can you guarantee 180 days you will have my timeshare sold and what happens once the 180 days is up and you have not sold. They became very arrogant and rude on the phone stating that I sound skeptical and fearful and that I have problem of why I would need to know what happens if it does not sell within a 180 days. They refused to answer my question and just kept saying that they will sell and for me to just give them my Mastercard number and I kept saying that I wanted to call them back later and not do it now. and they were saying that it would be to late because their inventory would be full and that if they had my Mastercard number now they could reserve my spot. They are really A**'s. After talking with friends and family once off the phone after giving them my Mastercard they told me to get out of it and call the bank and report my card lost so that all transactions would be stopped. so I did that and advise anyone else who bought into it to call up and cancel the transaction report card stolen or that you did not authorize that transaction.

They have called me next day saying ma'am we can process your request and send your contract without the payment. IF THEY WERE LEGIT THEY WOULD GIVE YOU A COPY OF THE CONTRACT FIRST BEFORE PAYMENT AND ALLOW YOU TO CALL BACK AND NOT PRESSURING YOU INTO BUYING INTO THE SCAM
