Sprint Complaint - Sprint Is Going To Hell
Sent to Sprint on 6/11/2009:
This memo has been distributed to the FCC, FTC, Florida Consumer Affairs, my local State Representative, Sprint sucks.com, CNN, WESH, WEVU, AP, WFTX, and MANY (approx. 40) other news and resource agencies.
You people have messed with the wrong person this time! After being a loyal customer for 6 years, NEVER a late payment,
Sprint decided to screw me over again!!! I have dealt with headache after headache from these morons and I am through with it. I have been paying insurance on my phone for years so that if something happens I can get a replacement phone when something happens. My phone broke so I took it in
to get fixed at a local Sprint store and they insist that I have to pay fifty dollars to have it replaced. I have paid out over 300 dollars in insurance for a phone worth 150 dollars to be told that I need to pay 50 more dollars...and wait, to have it mailed to me.
Meanwhile, I can't make any phone calls. Then they offer a replacement with a mail in rebate. I had seen the GM's list of phones, their is no phone as he
stated under the rebate cost meaning, no matter what, more $$$ to them.
Yet I had seen on his list 10-15 phones under the rebate price, as he stated: "those phones are no longer offered" I ask him then "why are these cheaper phones on this list?" he said it was an old list. as I see the printout date on
the bottom of the list says printed 6/10/2009 08:36 a. m., tends to make me wonder, how about you?
I played this game once before, they claim theres a rebate that you will get but you still have to pay for the phone out of pocket and then hope they don't
loose your paperwork. I'm still waiting to get re-reimbursed for my last rebate
2 years ago. Then they recommend me to a website assuming that I even have access to one. Their website has not let me access it in two years, they changed my account info to inaccurate info. I should have learned my lesson when Sprint sold my phone number to a third party solicitor months ago, or maybe I should have learned when they continued to charge me for an add-on game for 8 months though I kept asking them to take it off, or maybe I should have learned when I had no reception in my old apartment (in a big city), but they claimed I was locked in a contract. Now they are claiming I signed a new contract a year ago which all I was told I was signing for was a replacement phone. DID YOU KNOW> if and when you go in to replace your phone, you are renewing your contract for another 2 years? I read the rules, NOWHERE did it say I have no choice! Now I have heard of deceptive business practices, has this happened to you? Class action suit on the horizon?
So now that I am cancelling my contract, they want to charge me two hundred dollars and god only knows what other fees they will try to tack on in an attempt to ruin my credit. I guess its reasons like this they continue to
lose thousands and thousands of customers every month. Someone with access to an attorney should start up a class action law suit, its obvious other people have these problems. 6 years as a respectable customer and they do this..its ridiculous. No more contracts from anyone ever again on phone service. Congrats SPRINT, I now understand what kind of "big" business you are which means I'm "SPRINTING" to an attorney as we speak!
See you in hell! through the window of course!
