British Airways Complaint - Excess Baggage Rip off
I was travelling back from Philli to New Delhi in May 2009. I paid for a extra baggage online. Due to some reason I did not carry the extra bag with me. At the Philli checkin I declared that I don't have the extra bag and that the cancellation be made and refund be arranged. I was told by the agent that the refund will be given back only at Delhi. However after reaching Delhi I was told that there was no cancellation made and as per policy we cannot refund you the money as the travel has been made. Is BA in a dismal state that they have to resort to cheap tactics like this...? The last email received from them is "Dear Mr xxxxxxx

We have no record of our check in agent cancelling any excess baggage booking for you. Despite this the situation remains the same. The additional baggage allowance would have to be cancelled online before departure to obtain a refund. I am sorry to disappoint you. Thank you again for taking the time to contact British Airways.
