Hearthside Cabin Rentals Complaint - Poor customer service

PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE -- This company manages numerous cabins for rent in the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg, Tennessee area. This complaint centers around a weekend trip to one cabin. The weekend was marred by equipment failures and leaky pipes. Maintenance calls were answered up to 6 hours after initially placed. A pipe leaked and ruined one bed. The AC stopped working three times. Interior temperature reached 84 degrees on two days. Management acted as if they had placed their best foot forward by offering a 10-15% credit to the account. They further stated that they "do not normally give refunds of any nature" and "we are not responsible for equipment failures." I wonder who is responsible? They received the $1,000 payment for a three night trip. Yet, they admit little responsibility. The owners did not respond to this complaint after repeated requests for reconciliation. If you've ever been the victim of unscrupulous and self-centered business people then I recommend you stay away from this company. Rent with someone else.

Uh, they offer a service which includes A/C and working plumbing and they're not responsible? I would have slapped her silly!
