Red Robin Complaint - Can't believe I paid $10 for this burger - Royal Robin Burger

Royal Robin Burger - Complaint
Review by ame055 on 2009-06-16
CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA -- A family member of mine must have had a better situation than I did because I will probably never return to a Red Robin again. The Restaurant itself is nice, the people are nice, my only complaint is the food and the prices for non-gourmet tastes.
The server took a temp for our burgers (med and mr) and both came out well done in our to-go order. The barq's root beer was flat, no biggy, just fix the tanks. The fries were bland even though you could see the seasoning powder on them. My boyfriends burger was greasy, overdone, messy, with soggy fried jalapeno's and was not spicy at all. I can't remember the name but it was the spicy one with the picture next to it on the menu. THe royal robin (mine) was smothered in mayonnaise, lukewarm, and underseasoned. THe egg on it was rubbery. It is my opinion that if you put a fried egg on anything, you ask how the guest would like it cooked. THat thing came out so rubbery and nasty looking! The nachos were probably the best part of the meal but the meat had not flavor and the guacamole was stringy. Good Luck to anyone else, perhaps we just had a bad experience.

A In-N-out Burger, beats the crap out of any burger Red robin makes.

I went out with the girls this weekend (4 of us) and we went to Red Robin and it was not worth the 10.00 I spent on a burger. Honestly, neither of us were happy about the food and we will NOT be going back. Over priced sub-par food.

We went one time and we left hungry. Had to go through the Burget King drive thru to fill up my 2 sons.

I've only been once, but it was not bad.

I can't remember if the salad was much to write home about... but I've had Navy chow so ... as long as the lettuce isn't rusty I'm somewhat happy.

All I really remember is... they sat us beneath the heater vent and we were roasting, but when we mentioned it... they had us in another table before we even ordered.

Number 1, mayo has no place on a burger.
Number 2, an egg on a burger???
Number 3, what is it with everybody rushing to add spicy foods to their menu? Who decided food had to hurt to be good?
Number 4, I was underwhelmed with In'N Out. sorry, just not my cup of tea, I know there are those out there who would consider an In 'n Out witha krispy Kreme back a perfect meal, I am not one of them.

Mayo belongs on MY burger, I just don't want it swimming in it.

TW you want disgusting, you should have seen the mayo dripping out of one of my friends burgers, it made me want to hurl. I get a little sick thinking about it now!

thats disgusting! did she get any on her? lol
Posted by Principissa on 2009-06-17:
LOL! No, they wrap the end of the burger in white paper, but you could hear it squishing when she touched it. She opened it up and there had to have been at least 2 tablespoons of that nasty junk in there. I about died when I saw it.

Two tablespoons, that's all? You should see what ooozes out of the end of my burger...not just the Miracle Whip but all the juice and seeds from the tomato too...so, it's a pinkish ooze...but oh-so-goooooood!

i'm surprised, the red robin near my house is always amazing. maybe it just depends on where you go. i've never had any complaints.

I agree, if you want a good burger go elsewhere. I took my wife and two children (under 4) to Red Robins, very dissapointed in the quality of the food and the price they were charging. I spent over $30 and was still hungry when we left. A good note, my children loved the red robin as he kept walking buy and interacting with them. A friendly and clean place, but over priced for what you get.

for the 1st time took my family to red robin and spent 200 dollars for various menu items, zuckini was raw and greasy. cole slaw was very bitter and made me sick, couldn't finish meal as everyones food was dripping grease. talked to mgr and she said the staff hates the cole slaw too and they don't eat it either. Seafood platter was laying in a pool of grease, took it home and tried to feed to my cats but they wouldn't eat it either.
