Kathy Ireland Furniture Complaint - Do not buy from Kathy Ireland Furniture
I purchased this bed from Furniturebuzz.com which had the best price I could find. While I received the associated dresser with no issues the bed has been a nightmare from day one. When unpacking I found several scratches and areas where the cardboard was punctured/torn. This could have been the delivery service but to add to this two of the support pieces had come off the headboard. One looked as if it was almost wrenched off because part of the particle board of the headboard was still attached to it. Both of them looked like they had been thrown into the box with the screws as they were all loose inside. I was annoyed but tried to stay positive; I redrilled the support pieces and reattached them to the headboard. Now the fun begins. I received 2 right posts for the headboard instead of a right and a left (how do I know it was wrong, because if you attached both one of them had the attachments for the rail on the wrong side). So ensued what is now an almost 2 month attempt to receive a second post. I took to calling furniturebuzz.com every day as there is no way to directly contact the manufacturer. While they were very nice I would get promised of being called or emailed the next day with no response. Apparently the sales representative didn't feel this necessitated a quick response and I decided that calling furniturebuzz.com every day was the way to get my problem resolved. I have received a multitude of excuses, my favorite is that 'we would have to take a post from a bed set because we don't stock the parts separately'. And this is my problem because why? So I have been without a bed and my room a disaster waiting for the single post to arrive. This week I was told it would take at least two weeks for the post to arrive. I'm ready to burn the bed.
