Whirlpool has become a USE & TOSS company filling our landfill
KitchenAid Model A-9 Coffee Mill/They won't return - Complaint
ETOBICOKE ONTARIO CANADA -- Don't buy products made by Whirlpool if you value good money spent. It took me 2-3 calls to receive the paperwork to return my 1 1/2 month old grinder that would not change the grind coarseness. Each time I called they claimed it hasn't gone through process yet? 3-4 weeks to receive the envelope, which did not include the box they told me it would, it included instructions to ship Canada Post, BUT the actual shipping label was for Purolator. Having lost faith in the company's records I called 2-3 weeks later to inquire the whereabouts of grinder and was told it was ready but waiting for me to call and request it back. Promised delivery for following Friday, I had to call again after I gave them 1 extra week, I was then told it was sent May 19 and someone walking with it was a possibility, I requested a tracking number and was told someone would contact me. I'm still waiting for that call! Today I called again and was told it will be shipped out within 48 hours. We'll see. I should have known better than to buy this product after what I went through with my Cabrio washing machine warranty repair (also made by Whirlpool). Their customer service is totally robotic in their answers, and you couldn't pay me to try anything made by Whirlpool again.
NEW UPDATE: Phone call from them finally: It never was fixed; it was never ready to ship so because they can't honor the warranty with repair or replacement, they would like to replace my 1 lb. burr grinder ($129.00 plus taxes) with a regular small 4 oz. blade grinder ($25.00). I tried to tell them that is a totally different type of product than what I had. Now they have decided to send a $100.00 refund but I won't receive it for 4-6 weeks. Do you think I will see it????
