Snuggies Complaint - Snuggies - Avoid These Small-Time Scam Artists

Review by Dog soldiers on 2009-06-19
This silly little company is just crooked. It sells a cheap, thin fleece blanket with arms sewn into it.

I often sleep in an easy chair and thought it might be comfortable. However, the Snuggies website inevitably leads you into buying several of these things when you only want one. I ended up buying four. I've heard of people who got trapped into buying as many as eight.

I immediately called customer service and cancelled the order. I also emailed and sent a cancellation order in writing.

However, although I was assured on the phone that the order would be cancelled, it was not. Soon soon four unwanted snuggies arrived at a cost of more that $60. Further, although they say they have a money back guarantee, it doesn't apply to their padded UPS shipping charge.

So one way or another you're stuck.

I can't recommend any way to avoid being taken by these small-time scam artists except to avoid them completely. Good luck.

i don't get it....

how do you get "trapped" into buying more. they aren't holding your hands at the keyboard and forcing you to click to buy more.

you perhaps made a mistake but... no one forced you.

Pepper, I think I see what the OP means. Notice the last line:

There is a limit of 4 buy one get one free
Snuggie™ Blanket sets with FREE book lights per order.

Send me:
Burgundy:
Royal Blue:
Sage Green:

How many sets of 2 would you like?

So this means if I wasn't watching and wanted "2" of these things I may have clicked "2" which would have really been "4".

That would be $19.99 (cost) X 2 + $7.99 (S&H) X 4 = $71.94 (not including tax)

As a joke, my husband bought me 1 for our anniversary from a local store. I love it, and bought (just) one for my mom's birthday from target.com.

They just look so dorky in the commercials. It makes you look like a cult member.
