Jim Hansen Automotive Complaint - Big Rip -off - 1990 Buick / Replace Crankshaft Sensor and 1 Fuel Injector

Review by the d.j. on 2009-06-19
VACAVILLE, CALIFORNIA -- On April 22, 2009 I took my car to Jim Hansen Auto Repair shop at 777 Elmira Rd. in Vacaville, Ca. because it would not start. I was told by phone that I needed a Crankshaft position sensor and the price to install it and I authorized the work. The next day I received a phone call and was told the fuel injectors were leaking and I told them "Do not repair that problem". About 10 minutes later I got another phone call and was told my car could catch on fire, so I authorized the repair work. I was never told the price for parts. I was charged $199.98 more than Kragen Auto Parts.

You authorized it.

It is not a rip-off if you authorize the work.

Maybe you should have bought the parts from Kragen Auto Parts and installed them yourself? I don't know of any place that doesn't charge for labor.
