DirecTV Inc Complaint - Lousy service - installation and performance
I am writing this after I have been home waiting for 5 hours for the Direct TV service tech person to appear. I have just received a call saying that it will be another 3-4 hours before he "may" be there. No apologies other than a uncaring and evasive "customer service rep's" response that he had been "delayed". This would be bad enough but this is the THIRD time in as many weeks that they have been unable to make the service installation. The first time he showed up hours after the appointment time and didn't have the equipment to make the "upgrade". The second time I receive a call an hour after the appointment time saying that the warehouse didn't have the receivers needed for my system and I would have to reschedule. And then today, after being promised by the tech person that I would be the first appointment in the time slot, he/she is still a no-show after 5 hours and "may" show in another 4 hours.
When I rec'd the call today the only thing they want to know is if I want to reschedule (again) or choose to wait. When I try to find out why it took them 5 hours to call me to let me know he was going to be late, the representative said she was "just telling me what she was told". And she was the supposed customer service rep!! This company continues to raise rates and then offers no real apology or consideration for making me take three half days off for them to get more money from me in an upgrade of service. I would go to DISH but they do not have the sports channels I want and cable is not out in our area. All I have left is this forum to let others know about their lack of concern and absolute lack of consderation of the customer.
