Before you purchase an extended warranty on any
Of your appliances, you need to ask the a couple of the following
Questions. (1) Do they provide 24/7 services? IF not how soon can. They provide service. If they can not provide service on a 24/7 basis. Especially on refrigerator, do no throw money away purchasing an extended warranty. I just experienced a situation. Came home late evening about 8 in the evening
Noticed my refrigerator was making a funny noise. Noticed the thermostat was not working. Called the company the number thinking the company was GE. They could not come until the next business, day. So I called a company that could provide service that evening. The cost for the part was175.00 plus the service charge Total of 315.00.
The technician that came out from another company said it’s possible the company providing your extended warranty would rein burse you. Called Appliance Shield whom has my extended warranty, they said send a copy of the repair, we will rein burse you. Their claims department said no we would not rein burst you we did not provide the service. It takes that company at least 24hrs before servicing your appliance. Never purchase an extended Warranty from Appliance Shield or for that mater General Electric. They also take 24hrs. My advice never but an entended warranty from Appliance Shield or General Electric.
