Dish Tv Complaint - Beware Of This Scam!
Monday of this week I responded to an offer with our weekly coupon mailer. The ad claimed to offer a better cable system than IO. This may or may not be true -- I didn't hang around long enough to find out, yet I still got stung for $400.
The sales people, one female 'introducer' and a follow-up male 'closer'.
The female assured me out current cable supplier was inferior and overpriced, that joining with them should be $29.95! Yeah, right. She was then followed my a male 'closer', who quickly rattled off his prepred scripted bait. Somewhere amid all the palaver were the hastily spoken words "$400 installation fee". Since it was just glazed by, I continued to listen, much to my regret.
The next day the installer came, hooked up my TV then scrammed.
As soon as he left, I realized my 'mistake', called the 1-800-# to request the installation be taken out, as I did not want this 'so-called service'.
The bottom line....DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM...I can guarantee you will not be able to get out of it, despite your efforts. It is out-and-out misrepresentation. If I requested my attorney's help, I am 100% sure he would get me out of this. However, I'm a 65-year old retiree with only a small SS monthly check and cannot afford this bunk or bunko artist.
But now I'm stuck and am here WARNING anyone who might be reading this, to beware of DISH TV. They are a heartless group and would sell their mothers for financial gain.
